Aspire Trade Services is now an official supplier and installer of Luthmore boilers, and the only official Luthmore installer in Scotland.
The Luthmore One is a battery-enabled electric combi boiler. It gives you powerful showers and hot radiators, just like a gas combi boiler. The difference is that it runs on electricity, so there’s no gas, no flue and no emissions in your home.
Since 2012, our team in Leith has helped Edinburgh homeowners, landlords and businesses with their heating. A lot of our customers want to move away from gas but live in flats or tenements where a heat pump won’t fit. The Luthmore gives them another option, and we’re pleased to be able to offer it.
Who are Luthmore?
Luthmore is a British heating company based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. They have built a new kind of boiler: an electric combi with its own battery built in.
The boiler charges its battery when electricity is cheapest, such as overnight on an off-peak tariff or from your solar panels during the day. It then uses that stored energy to give you instant, powerful hot water when you need it.
So you get the hot water of a gas boiler from electricity, without paying peak rates every time you have a shower.
Luthmore boilers are already heating homes and buildings across the UK, from a compact flat in south-west London to older halls of residence at the University of Oxford, where heat pumps weren’t an option.
Introducing the Luthmore One
The Luthmore One is a battery-enabled electric combi boiler. Here are the main features.
Powerful hot water, on demand Up to 30kW of hot water power. That’s on a par with a top gas combi, so you get a strong shower with no tank to heat up first.
Reliable central heating Up to 10kW of central heating, using your existing radiators and pipework. Your home warms up just as quickly as it would with a traditional combi.
Built-in battery storage Six lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery modules store up to 6.8kWh of energy. The modular design makes servicing simple and allows for future upgrades.
Smarter, cheaper energy Charge on cheaper off-peak electricity or store spare solar power instead of exporting it to the grid. Then use it for your hot water and heating.
Full control from your phone The Luthmore app lets you choose between performance and economy, decide how and when the boiler charges, and keep track of what your energy is costing you.
Zero emissions There’s no gas, no flue and no risk of carbon monoxide.

Luthmore FAQs
1. Is a Luthmore boiler a heat pump?
No. It’s an electric combi boiler with a built-in battery. There’s no outdoor unit, so it’s a fast-fit alternative where a heat pump isn’t practical.
2. Will it work with my existing radiators?
Yes. The Luthmore One uses the same pipework and radiators as a standard gas combi.
3. Do I need a hot water tank?
No. Like a gas combi, it heats water on demand, so no cylinder is needed.
4. Does it need a special electricity supply?
It doesn’t need a three-phase supply, but it does need an adequate electrical connection. We’ll check this during your free home survey.
5. Can I use it with solar panels?
Yes. It can store spare solar energy in its battery and use it later for your heating and hot water.
6. How long does installation take?
Most installations are completed in one day.
